What is Champissage?

Champissage is a trademarked style of massage done sitting in chair that addresses the upper body.

Champissage Techniques:

Champissage uses Indian head massage techniques to loosed knots and tense muscles in the upper back, shoulders, neck, arms, face and head. Champissage massage techniques are very different from western massage techniques in how they are applied to the body.

Benefits of Champissage:

Champissage is a de-stressing program that affects the whole body. It is a perfect massage therapy for headache relief and promoting hair growth.

History of Champissage

Champissage was developed in 1981 by Narendra Mehta and was launched in England.

Champissage Training:

Champissage training is a three-day training. To obtain licensure in order to practice, a massage therapist must complete case studies, take a written exam and pass an in-person practical test with a certified Champsisage instructor.

What Happens During Champissage
The effect of Champissage is like toothpaste being squeezed out of a tube. The toothpaste representing stress and tension. The technique starts with the upper back and systematically moves to the head in increments, loosening muscles all along. Chakra balancing ends the technqiue

Your SpaNomad Champissage Treatment:

This treatment is done while you are sitting in a chair. Every muscle that needs attention is systematically and thoroughly treated starting with the upper back. The massage techniques can be light or extremely vigorous and deep. Next the shoulders are worked to release toxins and adhesions. The upper arms are addressed next in preparation for unique massage techniques for the neck. The scalp is massaged using over 12 unique massage techniques which then leads to pressure points on the face, reflexology on the ears and ending with chakra balancing. Often people fall asleep, see colors and visions or have some blissful experience.
