What is Deep Tissue Massage?
Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that aims to release chronic patterns of muscle tension by deep pressure targeting the deeper layers of muscle tissue. Deep massage is usually applied using the massage therapist’s thumbs, fingers, and forearms. Deep massage pressure is applied directly to the contracted muscle areas with deep pressure going across or following the muscle fibers.
Your Experience During a SpaNomad Deep Tissue Massage:
Deep massage is perfect to address the muscles in a engaged way. We also apply deep pressure using the knees and feet during a SpaNomad Deep Massage. You will experience increased oxygenation to the muscles and a release of toxins with Deep Massage
Why You May Want to Experience SpaNomad’s Deep Tissue Massage:
If you have been getting regular massage for a while, you may enjoy deep massage. A deep massage is not recommended for those new to massage. Additionally, if you are unable to breathe deeply when deep pressure is applied, deep massage is not for you. Conversely, if you are a deep breather and relish the idea of feeling your muscles relax and release, SpaNomad’s Deep Massage is perfect for you. Sometimes with deep massage, soreness occurs during or after the massage. This typically disappears within 2 or 3 days and you then feel better than before.
